Andrea Lazar

For Andrea Lazar, the move from Ohio to Florida over 25 years ago was a transformative catalyst for her creative vision. Deeply inspired by the state's vibrant intersection of cultures and its unique flora and fauna, Andrea’s work serves as a colorful tribute to the spirit of the Florida coast and its hidden pastoral heart.

Her portfolio is a diverse exploration of local character, ranging from the rugged Americana of Florida’s ranching culture, captured in her celebrated "boots and blue jeans" series, to the elegant plumage of the birds that frequent the region's waterways. Each piece begins with an appreciation for the natural world, often translated from her own photography into spirited, expressive paintings.

An active member of the Vero Beach art community, Andrea honed her craft under the mentorship of esteemed instructors Deb Gooch and Francis Sprout at the Vero Beach Museum of Art. Her work has earned consistent recognition, including Ribbons of Merit at the Vero Beach Art Club’s Art By The Sea and juried acceptance into the prestigious Best of the Best show at the A.E. Backus Museum of Art.
